The Human Trafficking Response service provides investigation, safety support and assistance to individuals who may be victims of labour or sex trafficking in Halton Region.

• responds to reports of human trafficking involving force, coercion, deception or control over a person’s movements
• assists victims and survivors by connecting them to social, emergency and long‑term supports through a victim‑centred approach
• supports public reporting by receiving tips from individuals who believe someone may be at risk of being trafficked
• provides guidance on recognizing warning signs such as lack of control over personal belongings or finances, signs of abuse, secretive communication, or unexplained new items

• call 9‑1‑1 in situations of immediate danger
• contact HRPS to report suspected human trafficking
• call the Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline (1‑833‑900‑1010) for confidential advice or support
