Description and Service Details
Description (Service) The service offers a number of community initiatives for youth in Halton Region: 
Children's Safety Village  
* a miniature town with buildings, paved roads, traffic signals, railroad crossing and sidewalks on a 1.5 acre site adjacent to Police Headquarters 
* free field trips to Kindergarten, Grade 2 and Grade 3 classes in Halton Region  
* village is not open to the general public

PEACE (Police Ethnic And Cultural Education Youth Leadership Program)  
* for high school students 
* students improve their cultural proficiency, communication and leadership skills

Youth In Policing Initiative (Y.I.P.I.) 
* available to six high school students annually 
* students participate in various sections of the police services, support community initiatives and learn valuable life and employment skills

T.R.A.C.K. (Teen Random Acts of Community Kindness) 
* a volunteer program for youth ages 13 – 18 who want to work with police to make a difference in their community 
* participants work alongside police officers and community partners to help promote sustainable life-skills, self-esteem, leadership, diversity, kindness, respect, trust and responsibility while completing fun and meaningful acts of kindness 
* registration is required and a waiver must be completed
