The Community Grant Program supports community-based activities, initiatives, events, and projects that align with the Town’s strategic priorities and the four funding streams listed below

• Four streams of funding have their own specific guidelines outlining project requirements, eligibility for funding and eligible expenses, application and process, evaluation standards, and terms and conditions
• Apply to the funding stream that most suits your specific project

Community Investment Stream

• Supports organizational development such as strategic planning, governance, marketing, volunteer recruitment / management, and sustainability-focused training
• Funds new or expanded initiatives that creatively address emerging community needs
• Maximum $5,000 per project
• Guidelines available online

Environmental Stewardship Stream

• Supports community-led environmental projects that protect and enhance the natural environment in Halton Hills
• Funds hands-on actions such as habitat restoration, native planting, biodiversity protection, and invasive species reduction
• Advances climate action and awareness to build a healthier, more resilient community
• Maximum $2,500 per project
• Guidelines available online

Neighbourhood Projects Stream

• Empowers residents and neighbourhood groups to organize events that build stronger, more connected communities by fostering collaboration, celebrating local culture, and encouraging civic participation
• Supports inclusive initiatives that foster community pride and meaningful resident engagement
• Maximum $250 per neighbourhood, per year
• Guidelines available online

Special Events Stream

• Supports local special events that align with the Town’s strategic priorities and foster a vibrant, inclusive community
• Helps community groups bring residents together in shared public spaces through accessible, collaborative events
• Activates public spaces and strengthens connections while celebrating the Town’s unique character and spirit
• Funding levels vary based on the Town’s event classification system
• Guidelines available online
