Description (Service) | Serves the area from Burlington to Guelph, and from Cambridge-Kitchener-Waterloo to Orangeville and focuses on Deaf plus individuals, principally those graduating from the Drury School, so they can continue to be in an environment where they are understood, have a sense of belonging, and have friends The Centre provides job skills training and can assist with:
Adult Day Services provide meaningful experiences to participants to help build on strengths and interests, meet and socialize with peers, and focus on areas of growth within a communication rich environment * offer activities, sports and community outings; computer use; motor skill and life skill development among other activities as well as a focus on employment readiness and volunteerism for those who identify an interest in obtaining volunteer or paid employment * clients and their families are helped to cope and to learn from issues that face them |
