Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) All Sheridan campuses are closed until further notice. For further information see Sheridan website -------------------------------------------- An inclusive space for all Indigenous (which includes all Status and non-Status, First Nations, Metis, and Inuit) as well as non-Indigenous students to build and foster a sense of community. Services include: For new and prospective students: * orientation session * peer mentors * assists prospective students with their application and portfolio when applying to Sheridan * help with Pathways into Sheridan Financial Aid: * Indigenous students may be eligible for specialized government funding * will answer questions on financial aid including First Nations Band Funding, Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP), scholarships/bursaries and Inspire Elders: * opportunities to meet with Elders for support, guidance and teachings * an Elder is available every Thursday Recruitment: * works closely with the Sheridan recruitment team to let future students know about the diverse programming and Indigenous community at Sheridan |
