** We are seeking a Francophone or bilingual french speaker who is interested in helping an isolated senior in our community. The gentleman does not have family that lives in the area and speaks extremely limited English. Friendly visits are aimed at decreasing his social isolation and helping him engage in the community. Training will be provided, and ongoing staff support will be available. Flexible schedule to suit your needs, 30min 2x/week, or 1hr 1x/week. In person visits are preferable and will take place in a public area in the client's apartment or a mutually agreed upon location in his area of Locke & York Blvd, Hamilton.

We are seeking an individual, or small group with an interest in supporting healthy eating. Support is needed to assist a client with meal preparation on a weekly basis. 1-2hrs each week, schedule is flexible to meet the needs of the client and volunteer.
Additional support for clients may include helping to educate on healthy eating and nutrition - support will be provided by staff
Safe Food Handling certificate is an asset, but not required.

We are seeking an individual, or small group with an interest in supporting an individual in removing snow from their vehicle to allow safe travel to work on the mornings after a snowfall.
No prior experiences , training or skills required - simply a willingness to support a productive and engaged member of our community to live more independantly. A dedicated and dependable individual is required who will be appropriately respectful of the task to ensure the vehicle is not damaged and meets safe visiblility requirements.
Time requirements will be entirely up to the weather
October to April commitment is requested
