Bone Fractures

A complete or incomplete break in a bone resulting from the application of excessive force. A fracture usually results from traumatic injury to bones causing the continuity of bone tissues or bony cartilage to be disrupted or broken. Fracture classifications include simple, compound, incomplete and complete.

Hemorrhoids

A condition in which there is a mass of dilated, tortuous veins in the anorectum involving the venous plexuses of that area.

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

A syndrome that is probably a group of disorders that are characterized by a combination of abdominal pain and irregular pattern of defecation coupled with at least three of the following: altered stool form (hard or loose and watery), altered stool passage (straining or urgency or feeling of incomplete evacuation), passage of mucus and/or bloating or feeling abdominal distention.

Sports Injuries

Any of a number of conditions including concussions, sprains and strains, shoulder separations, hamstring injuries, knee ligament injuries, shin splints, foot and ankle injuries, bursitis, tendonitis, stress fractures or broken bones that occur in the context of playing a sport or engaging in other forms of recreation.

Ulcers

An open sore or lesion on the skin or mucous membrane that is accompanied by sloughing of inflamed necrotic tissue. If the sore becomes infected, pus is discharged. Ulcers may appear in many places but are often found in the duodenum or the stomach.
