Driving/Accident Records
Programs that maintain and, where appropriate, provide access to the official cumulative driving history of an individual which includes citations or arrests for traffic violations or accidents while driving a motor vehicle.
Police Clearances
Programs that conduct criminal background checks and provide certification, often referred to as good conduct letters, that an individual has no police record or has not been arrested for a specified type of crime. Traffic offences are generally excluded. Police clearances issued by local law enforcement agencies may include an inquiry to the RCMP's National Repository of Criminal Records. There is generally a small fee for this service.
