Over a single weekend, an expert design team transforms an existing waiting room, treatment room or patient care room into a Smilezone

  • warm, engaging and therapeutic areas where children of any age, ability, diagnosis and interest can explore their surroundings in a safe, fun and purposeful way
  • children can be themselves, relax, and feel supported in a safe and engaging environment
  • helps make the hospital or centre a better place to be, providing children and families with a sense of comfort and belonging 

As of 2025 there are 450+ Smilezones in health facilities across Canada
