A not-for-profit environmental organization

Volunteers participate and aid in cleaning up litter and dumped debris, planting native trees and shrubs, removing invasive plants, and general stream rehabilitation and erosion control projects

• cleanups remove debris and litter from streams, creeks, fields and woodlands, to improve wildlife habitat, reduce potentially harmful material from entering the Great Lakes, and keep our natural spaces beautiful
• works with local municipalities, conservation authorities, community groups, and residents to improve streams by creating more natural structures, restoring degraded creek banks and channels due to human alteration and unofficial trails, addressing hazardous areas, and improving fish habitat
• plants native species to create buffer zones to filter urban water runoff following a rainfall, provide shade for streams and stabilize banks, and create wildlife habitat and natural areas
• educates the public through events and social media on how our local eco-systems function, the importance of maintaining them, and hopefully foster a greater appreciation of them

No formal office hours, open seasonally (spring, summer)
