A registered, charitable organization run by volunteers working to empower orphaned and vulnerable youth around the world to become educated, capable, contributing and self-sustaining.

The goal of the foundation is to help youth become independent by:

• offering vocational training and scholarships
• building schools in needy areas
• mentoring to enhance ability to become contributing members of their local and global communities
• providing resources to meet basic needs and create healthy environments  

Vocational Training Programs Include

• tailoring
• hair and beauty
• agriculture
• food preparation and,
• construction trades

Scholarships:

• offered to youth who demonstrate aptitude, express appreciation for education, and understand the value and importance of education
• each scholarship applicant is evaluated by members of the Global Friends team, teachers and mentors in their home communities, and the academic institutions to which they apply
