Friends of Oakville Public Library (also known as the Friends) is a dedicated volunteer group. Through book sales and community initiatives, the Friends help fund and enhance various Oakville Public Library programs, services and spaces.

• gently used materials – books, audio books and audio-visual materials, in great condition, available for sale 

Volunteer Opportunities

• Book Sale Volunteers - setup, logistics, cashiers and tear-down (adult & youth)
• FOL Committee Members (adult) & Sorters - sort donations year-round (adult & youth)

Book Donations

• Visit Friends of Oakville Public-Library Book Donations if you would like to donate books to the Friends of Oakville Public Library, please note that FOL can only sell books and other items that are in very good condition
• Donations are accepted at all seven OPL branches during operating hours
• Drop donations off with the branch staff at any of the Service Desks.
• If you have a large quantity of materials for donation (more than 2 boxes), please contact fol@oakville.ca to arrange a drop-off appointment
