Provides waste disposal and recycling services for Halton residents and businesses.

Accepted materials include:

• household hazardous waste
• electronics
• yard waste
• reusable items
• general garbage

Visitor Guidelines

• Attendants do not assist with unloading; arrange help if needed
• payment by credit/debit only
• secure open loads and pre-sort materials for faster drop-off
• certain items require prior approval (e.g., asbestos, large rubble, decommissioned soil)
• remove fluids from gas-powered equipment; oil tanks/drums must be empty and cut in half

Composter Sales:

• backyard composters (limit 2 per household)
• call 311 for availability

Electronics Recycling:

• free drop-off
• handled via Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) with secure processing

Household Hazardous Waste Depot:

• free drop-off (20 L + 8 tubes), original, sealed containers only

Orange Box:

• free storage box for hazardous waste materials until site drop-off

Paint & Stain Reuse Depot:

• spring–fall drop-off/pick-up

Pick up or exchange a Green Cart or Kitchen Catcher

• pick up a free Green Cart and Kitchen Catcher (new residents)
• exchange broken Green Carts, they will be recycled into new bins
• please call 311 to confirm availability before visiting to pick up or exchange

Reuse Depot:

• accepts clean, reusable items like clothing, electronics, books, toys
• aids Halton services

• Mon-Sat 8 am-4:30 pm (All year)
• Sun 8 am-12 noon (May & Jun only)
