Description (Service)

Provides animal control, by-law enforcement, and sheltering for the Town of Oakville

  • available 24/7 for animal-related concerns

Services include:

  • pickup and care of stray, sick, or injured domestic animals and wildlife
  • capture of stray dogs and confined stray cats
  • coordination with local law enforcement when needed
  • removal of deceased animals on town property and regional roads

By-law Enforcement & Investigations

  • enforces Town of Oakville Animal Control By-law (leash and licensing requirements, standards of care, biting dogs)
  • report infractions via online form

Dog Licensing

  • required under municipal by-law, valid for 12 months
