Description (Service)

Halton residents are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from their vaccination appointments 
If you are able to, please drive yourself or make arrangements for a ride from a family member or a support person 
 
No-charge transportation is available for people facing barriers getting to a Halton Region COVID-19 community vaccination clinic only. Note: Transportation is not offered to any other locations, such as pharmacies or primary care providers 

Option 1:

Request a no-charge ride through one of the local taxi services

  • to have the cost of the taxi service covered you must provide the taxi service with your vaccination appointment Confirmation Number
  • please book transportation at least 48 hours in advance of your clinic appointment
    • Halton Hills: EZ Taxi - 905-873-9900

Option 2:

Arrange for in-home vaccination service

  • if you have mobility challenges or medical reasons that prevent you from attending a vaccination clinic, you may be eligible for in-home vaccination service
  • Eligible residents12 years of age or older can submit a request for the COVID-19 in-home vaccination service by completing the COVID-19 in-home vaccination service form
  • form can be completed by an eligible Halton resident or substitute decision maker, physician or health care provider or a congregate living administrator
  • applications will be reviewed by Halton Region Public Health
  • Note that this new process is not a rapid referral program. Staff will contact eligible residents within two to four weeks to schedule a vaccination appointment
