Spring 2024 COVID-19 Vaccine Recommendations

• Individuals who are at increased risk of severe illness from COVID-19 may receive an additional dose of an XBB COVID-19 vaccine this Spring. Find out if you are eligible.
• Individuals 6 months to 4 years of age who have not completed a COVID-19 vaccine series based on the vaccine product and immune status, should complete the series with an XBB mRNA COVID-19 vaccine
• All other individuals are not currently recommended to receive a COVID-19 vaccine dose in Spring 2024 and should wait until further Ministry recommendations

• Vaccinations are available at many pharmacies, physician's offices as well as other locations in Halton
• The COVID-19 Vaccination Service for Homebound Residents is available for residents who are unable to leave their homes. Eligible residents can submit a request for this service by completing the COVID-19 Vaccination Service for Homebound Residents – service form

Ontario Pharmacy Vaccine Program

You can receive your COVID-19 primary vaccine series and/or booster doses at participating pharmacies. The vaccine types offered by specific pharmacies may change without notice.

Most pharmacies book appointments ahead of time and some allow walk-ins. Check with the pharmacy before you go

• you must have a valid Ontario health (OHIP) card, or other form of valid government-issued identification
• contact a participating pharmacy near you to book an appointment
