						| Description (Service) | Hospital-based outpatient day program with a focus on rehabilitation * patients are engaged in setting their treatment goals and are expected to participate in their assigned home program to help their full functional recovery * virtual care is also available upon request
 Outpatient physiotherapy services include:
 
in-person assessment and treatment by physiotherapists and physiotherapy assistantspreop and postop educationgoal setting and treatment planningindividual and group exercise programminghome exercise program Knee replacement patients can start outpatient physiotherapy between 5-7 days after the surgery and can expect to participate in exercise classes twice per week for up to 6 weeks
 Hip replacement patients can start outpatient physiotherapy between 2-6 weeks post surgery, and usually only need 1-3 visits
