Information for caregivers and visitors to long-term care facilities, effective November 7, 2023
66-bed long-term care home * residential care for private rooms and semi-private rooms * 24-hour nursing and personal care * access to a doctor and other health professionals
- bedding and linen
- laundry and housekeeping
- meal service and snacks
- personal hygiene supplies
- supplies, equipment and assistive devices such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, toilet aids, catheters, ostomy bags, or wound care supplies
- assistance with medication and activities of daily living
- rehabilitative services
- behaviour management support through Behaviour Support Ontario (BSO)
- social, recreational programs and physical activities
Additional services and facilities:- dental care (local dentist and denturist provide in-house service)
- foot care
- vision care
- hearing aid clinic
- hair dressing * manicure
- wheelchair maintenance
- gift cart
- wheelchair accessible van for resident transport to activities
- Halton Geriatric Mental Health Outreach Program offers the services of a Geriatrician and Registered Nurses who specialize in the management of dementia
