Reception Services at Toronto Pearson Airport
Canadian Ukrainian Immigrant Aid Society (CUIAS) provides Ukrainian welcome reception services at Toronto Pearson airport as well as the hotel bookings for the federally-funded hotels in Ontario.
Service available at the airport Terminals 1 and 3 from Monday-Sunday, 2 pm- 2 am. Also available virtually via a 24 hour phone line and email: 1-888-557-6133, welcomeon@cuias.org

Information on Immigration for Ukrainians Currently Inside Canada
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has a helpline for Ukraine inquiries, available in Canada and abroad, 613-321-4243 - collect calls accepted. Inquirers can add keyword Ukraine2022 to IRCC Web form with questions and the email will be prioritized. Employment - Update July 2023: UTIMUS is receiving provincial funding to prepare 60 unemployed or underemployed Afghan and Ukrainian newcomers for work in the manufacturing sector in Ontario; it is offering 4 cohorts of training in 2023 and those interested can apply at www.utimus.com/signupnew
- Update July 2023: Toronto Artscape Inc. is receiving provincial funding to give 30 Ukrainian artists tools and experience needed to find jobs with local employers in the arts; Artscape training will begin Sept 6, 2023. A call for participants will be posted at www.artscape.ca/artscape-foundation/
- Ontario government has dedicated employment phoneline, 1-888-562-4769, and email, ukrainianjobs@ontario.ca, for Ukrainians who have arrived in Canada as a result of the new emergency travel authorization.

Financial Assistance
Ukrainians arriving in Canada can now apply to receive transitional financial assistance from the federal government for basic needs. - benefit consists of a direct, one-time payment of $3000 per adult, and $1500 per child 17 years and younger
- Ukrainians and their family members in Canada with a work permit, study permit, temporary resident permit or visitor record under the Canada-Ukraine authorization for emergency travel (CUAET) are eligible
- applications for benefit must be submitted through Government of Canada's online portal
Health Care - Ukrainians in Ontario under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) eligible for Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) coverage
- there is no waiting period; people can apply immediately on coming to Ontario

- Refugee HealthLine, 1-866-286-4770, this line, part of Health Connect Ontario, connects refugees and people arriving through humanitarian authorizations such as CUAET to health care providers. Health providers wanting to volunteer may also call this line
Supports for Students - elementary and secondary students from Ukraine can study for free in Ontario
Transit - Newcomers to Canada including those who came to Canada via CUAET who are living in Brampton or Mississauga can apply for a discounted transit pass through the Affordable Transit Program
