Provides advisory and financial assistance to help clients adjust to the impacts of job loss, or threatened job loss, in the workplace - services are aimed at helping impacted workers secure and maintain employment
- clients include individual firms, organizations, employees, communities and sectors
- helps workers identify employment and social needs, and secure appropriate support
- adjustment committees are often established to ensure full participation of all affected parties in the process
