Description (Service)	The Bureau investigates the following types of anti-competitive practices: price fixing bid-rigging false or misleading representations deceptive notice of winning a prize abuse of dominant position exclusive dealing tied selling and market restrictions refusal to deal mergers multi-level marketing plans and schemes of pyramid selling deceptive telemarketing deceptive marketing practices Can refer criminal matters to the Attorney General of Canada and has the power to bring civil matters before the Competition Tribunal The Information Centre is the first point of contact for the public
