Description (Service)


Authorized delivery agent for the Enbridge Gas Home Winterproofing Program (HWP) and the Save On Energy's Energy Affordability Program (EAP) in postal codes starting with L , M, or P.

Provides income eligible individuals (home owners and renters) no-cost energy-saving upgrades such as:

  • insulation, draft proofing, smart thermostats
  • basic energy measures: LED lightbulbs, Water efficient showerheads and faucet aerators, drying racks, etc.
  • Energy efficient refrigerator, freezer, window AC and dehumidifier replacement
  • Free Air Source Heat Pumps (for home owners only)

Additionally the program now offers a free heat pump and removal of oil tanks for those previously using oil to heat their home (if the household qualifies)

There is absolutely no cost to the income eligible household for any of the upgrades and services they may receive.

Eligibility To be eligible for the program, you are:
  • an individual that owns, rents or leases a residence in Ontario
  • listed on the utility account as primary or secondary holder
  • AND meet one of the following criteria:
A) The total household income does not exceed:
  • One person $47,090
  • Two people $66,595
  • Three people $81,561
  • Four people $94,179
  • Five people $105,295
  • Six people $115,345
  • Seven or more people $124,586
Or B) The household has received support from one of the following programs within the last 12 months:
  • Allowance for Seniors
  • Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP)
  • Ontario Works (OW)
  • Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS)
  • Allowance for Survivors
  • Healthy Smiles
  • Ontario Electricity Support Program (OESP)
  • LEAP Emergency Financial Assistance Grant
Or C) You are an on-reserve community member
For the program to switch from oil to a heat pump, you may qualify if:
  • You own your home and it's your primary residence
  • Your home is connected to the Ontario electricity grid
  • You heat your home with oil (at least 500 litres in the past year)
  • Your primary residence is not a multi-residential building with more than three units
  • Your household meets the EAP eligibility criteria.
