A registered charity that fills and distributes gift bags and backpacks for people in need in Canada and around the world, including people who are homeless, low-income families and women's shelters

Filled backpacks are donated to those in need

• staffed entirely by volunteers

Accepts donations of:

• backpacks
• textiles and gently used linens to make gift bags
• new personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo and facecloths
• new school supplies
• new clothing and shoes
• Canadian Tire money, cancelled stamps from around the world and pennies, for purchasing needed items
• medical equipment and supplies (such as stethoscopes, gloves bandages first aid kits and supplies and un-opened, not expired non-prescription medication and vitamins)
• wheelchairs, walkers, crutches

Schools, service groups, Guiding and Scouting groups, churches, corporations and other volunteers assist in preparation of gift bags

• provides volunteer opportunities for high school students, firefighter and police candidates and others fulfilling community involvement hours

Mon-Tue 9 am-12:30 pm

• additional warehouse hours available on website or email info@sewonfire.com to arrange drop off time
• drop-off bin at rear of building is available at all times
