Description (Service) Objectives are to: 
* ensure that the spirit of the Niagara Escarpment's UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve designation is upheld  
* protect and enhance local Niagara Escarpment rural lands in North Burlington by preserving vital ecosystems and natural habitats  
* protect endangered and threatened animal and plant species  
* safeguard rural water tables, wells, creeks and wetlands  
* preserve and enhance quality of life of the Niagara Escarpment area
