Description (Service) | Programs target children and youth, ages 6 to 18 in Halton, who are struggling with mental health and behavioural challenges and their families Group Therapy: Treatment and Counselling * for children/youth between the ages of 6 and 13 who are experiencing social/emotional difficulties at home, school, and/or in the community * focus is to improve a child/youth’s self-esteem and emotional regulation and enhance their social competences Group Therapy: School Focused Treatment and Counselling * for children/youth between the ages of 7 and 13 who are experiencing significant emotional, social or behavioral needs that are impacting the school setting and may put them at risk of losing their school placement * focus is to improve a child/youth’s emotional regulation and enhance their social competences Family Support Program * provides support to parents/caregivers in partnership with the Group Therapy: Treatment and Counselling and Group Therapy: School Focused Treatment and Counselling * engages families in their children/youth’s mental health Individual and Family Therapy * a community-based program that provides services for youth between the ages of 8 -18 years struggling with social/emotional challenges including: trauma, anxiety and depression, which impact their relationships; academic performance and social connections * provides individual and family therapy; youth mentorship; and trusteeship for youth ages 16 to 17 on Ontario Works NYC Autism Program * a group-based program for children who are diagnosed with high functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder between the ages of 8 and 12 years old * designed to teach practical day to day social skills to children and youth in a group environment Summer Group Treatment Program * provides group therapy for children/youth who have attended previous programs in the Centre |
