Description (Service) | Services altered in response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Some Food for Life Outreach Programs have closed * see website for updated list of programs currently running ------------------------------------------ Food is distributed to the Food for Life Outreach Programs, local food banks and agencies for low income and subsidized housing areas throughout Halton Region * emphasis is on perishable goods such as produce, meat, dairy and fresh bread * Food for Life sites have no barriers to access (no identification required * bring 1-2 grocery bags) Neighbourhood Food Programs * find food programs in your community Essential Goods Delivery Toolkits available include: * Agriculture - showcases the tax benefits and process for farms to donate excess food * Corporate - showcases how easy it is for the food sector to donate excess food * Public & Student Educator - includes tools to help students and the general public understand hunger in the community, while aligning knowledge on food waste |
