Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Endowments are granted to charities including the areas of arts and culture, education, environment, health and well-being, social services and youth leadership.  
* the Foundation also convenes the Oakville Partnership on Truth and Reconciliation and the Halton Granter’s Roundtable 
 
New initiatives in 2018: 
Community Classroom 
* provides access to free arts, culture and heritage education for Oakville's publicly funded schools for students in grades JK/SK to grade 8 
 
BeCause Oakville 
* Foundation’s fundholders determine the granting priorities and their selected grants are eligible for matching grants from the Foundation  
 
BeLong Oakville 
* a community-wide one day open doors that provides free access to skating, swimming, yoga, gymnastics and arts and culture programs 
 
Give Oakville 
* a new online community granting program 
* the public can contribute directly to local charities that have been included in the system based on their programming that addresses one or more of the community's pressing challenges
