Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Nine crews and an administrative staff, comprised of approximately 70 volunteers, provide a marine search and rescue capability during the boating season 
* the rescue boat operates from a Navy Street slip 
* members receive year round training in search and rescue, marine radio operations, navigation, boat handling, First Aid, and CPR
Hours Crew Patrols:  
Mon-Fri 6 pm-10 pm * weekends and holidays: 12 noon-10 pm, 
Remaining Mon-Sun 24 hours service covered by Call-out-phone
Dates TOWARF patrol season is from late Apr to the end of Oct. * Emergency Call out service may extend into Nov.
Areas Served Oakville
Boundaries Waters of Lake Ontario (N) of water line to (S) 10nm from shore * (W) from the Petrocan Pier (Burloak Drive) to the St. Lawrence Cement Pier (E). Assistance beyond this boundary is provided at the request of the Canadian Coast Guard.
