Description and Service Details

Description (Service)	Conservation Halton's Green Space: Newcomer Youth Climate Forum, launched in 2021 with RBC Tech for Nature. The program empowers youth ages 14-29 to learn about climate change, develop practical skills, and build friendships. Workshops provide volunteer hours, leadership training, and project engagement. Gain skills in environmental monitoring, technology, and innovation. Topics include: Learn more about the current climate crisis, climate science, and its local and global impact Learn how to use technology to collect and interpret environmental data Participate in nature-based climate solutions (e.g., tree planting, invasive species removal, native seed collection) Learn about native Ontario plants and animals through outdoor learning Learn about government policies, laws, and initiatives related to climate action, adaptation, and mitigation Explore career paths related to climate science and environmental monitoring
Hours	Administration office open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Program hours vary with each program.
