Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Provides a range of  support services to children, youth and adults who have developmental disabilities and their families

Community Day Services:
  • XCEL: offer a variety of activities, creating exciting opportunities for people to develop their skills while building relationships with others * offered Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm * contact Julie Bisbicos, Day Services Manager at ext 274

Residential Services 
  • supported independent living: offers varying amounts of support to people where they live based on their individual needs
  • 24 hour support: provides support for up to 5 people residing in a group living setting

Employment services:
  • helps individuals to find/maintain employment in the community
  • job coaches work with the person and employer to achieve successful employment in the Oakville area
  • job coaches also provide support for a volunteer/work experience, work training and/or situational assessment

After School Respite Program:
  • program for students 5-21 years who have autism or Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD) in a safe and caring environment 
  • activities include games, community events, parks, engaging through music, sports, arts and crafts, and life skills
  • Mon- Fri, 3pm-8pm
  • this is a purchase of service program
  • contact Mary White, Residential and Day Program Manager at ext 210

Donate your car:
  • working in conjunction with CharityCar and Green Vehicle Disposal to dispose of unwanted vehicles in an environmentally safe way
  • the recycled funds will assist CLO in accomplishing their goals and initiatives in educating the community to embrace individuals with developmental disabilities so that they can enjoy their right to lead active and productive lives
  • volunteer opportunities available
