Description and Service Details
Description (Service) Community Mentoring: 
One-to-one mentoring in which children are matched with a volunteer(s) and spend a couple of hours, two to three times monthly, in the community having fun together, participating in recreational, social and educational activities 
 
In-School Mentoring: 
One-to-one mentoring in which volunteer mentor visits children at school for 1 hour once a week to play games, do crafts and have fun 
 
Connections Project: 
Group mentoring program connecting volunteers with newcomer elementary students 
 
Go Girls! group mentoring program: 
In school group mentoring program for children identifying as girls, aged 12-14 which focuses on physical activity, balanced eating, self-esteem and positive choices 
 
Game On! group mentoring program: 
In school group mentoring program which provides boys and young men with information and support to make informed choices about a range of healthy lifestyle practices

Volunteers are generally 18 or older and want to help a child reach their full potential * teens can volunteer in some programs
